WASHING & CARE
At what temperature can MÖVE terry towels be washed?
Please refer to the washing label on the product for the recommended washing temperature for your terry towelling.
MÖVE hotel & spa terry towels are designed for washing temperatures up to 95° C.
Please note that every terry towelling product should be washed before first use. On the one hand, this rinses out any excess colour residue and, on the other hand, the surface becomes denser and the formation of loops is reduced.
Which detergent should I use?
It is extremely important to wash dark and light fabrics and colours separately.
White towelling is best kept bright white with a heavy-duty detergent.
Coloured terry towelling should be washed with a mild detergent without optical brighteners right from the start. To prevent the colours from bleeding, it is also important to adhere to the recommended washing temperature.
If you use fabric softener, we recommend using it very sparingly, as otherwise the absorbency of the terry towelling will be negatively affected and increased pilling may occur.
What is the best way to dry towelling?
The softness and fluffiness of towelling is best ensured by tumble drying. Do not leave damp terry towelling on top of each other for long periods of time and also avoid drying on a radiator – this can make the fluffy terry towelling brittle.
How do I avoid lint formation?
If possible, avoid using fabric softener and always stick to the recommended load size of your washing drum. If you exceed or fall short of this, the textile is exposed to increased friction; this also applies to towelling bath rugs.
What do I do if the loops are pulled out?
Please never wash terry towelling together with hooks or zips, as this can lead to pulled loops. If it does happen, simply cut the pulled threads as short as possible to prevent them from being pulled out again. This will not damage the fabric.
